In honor and loving memory of Evelyn J. McKenzie, her children have established the EJM Literacy Foundation (EJMLF). The purpose of this effort is to promote education and literacy through the power of self-determination, effort, self-decency, charity, integrity and high moral standards. EJM Literacy Foundation holds as its core vision to ensure that students feel empowered by knowledge. It is here they will see the impact of consistent effort, personal development and self-improvement with their own eyes.

 

Evelyn J. McKenzie's birthday is September 26th. Every year on this date, EJMLF will sponsor a fundraiser in the form of a Black Tie First Class Gala.
